Honoring Hilda Solis, LA County Supervisor and former Secretary of Labor for the Obama administration, and Germaine Franco, composer of the music of Coco and Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Germaine is the first latina woman to win the Annie Award (for Coco); the first Latina to be invited to join the American Academy of Motion Pictures; and the first woman composer to be hired by Dreamworks. Hilda Solis is the first Latina to serve in the United States Cabinet. What an evening!
